Cupcake Fun

I wanted to try out the new decorator bottle sets I bought from pampered chef. I love them, the kids did not get any frosting on them. They had so much fun using the different decorator tips. Here is our good time.

There isn't a pic of Jackson eating a cupcake because he had already eaten it.

Graduation Day

Jackson had his big preschool graduation day. It was really cute. The kids sang two songs for us, ABC's and 5 little monkeys swinging from a tree. They gave each child an award, Jackson got most outgoing. How fitting, huh :) Then the kids got a memory which contained pics from dress up days and field trips throughout the year. It will be a nice memory to have. The high school were so sweet. They were five or six that wanted their pic with Jackson before we left. The girls were giving him hugs and the guys were giving him high fives. I am so glad he was loved there. We are so excited to go back next year, hopefully Abagayle will be potty trained by then. finger crossed.

His glasses were his most outgoing award.

Art Time

So this past weekend when Brandon's mom, brother and sister, we got to go on a date. It was fantastic! We went to McCormicks and Schmicks for dinner, yummy! While we were at dinner the kids did a little foam art project. They loved them. I do not know if you can see it or not but there is glitter glue on it, wow what fun! They really enjoyed spending time with the family. Thanks guys!

Hangin Tough

So the other morning I was watching the Today show and New Kids on the Block came on and started singing. I was so excited, it was a little sad. I was of course singing along with all the songs, my daughter thought I was nuts. I have had a ton of their songs on my IPOD since I got it a year and half ago, my husband always makes fun of me, now I feel slighty vindicated. I was on google the first chance I got to see when they were coming to Portland and buy me some tickets. Unfortunately tickets are not on sale yet, then Brandon asked who I was going with. I had no idea but I was going, I have seen them 3 times in concert before and those are some of the best concerts I have ever been to. I wasn't sure how I was going to ask the girls around here who would go with me. Thankfully Summer H posted on her blog about NKOTB and asked who wants to go to the concert. Hopefully it works out or I guess I will be kickin it by myself there, because I am so going!! Even though my baby will be two months old, one night with dad won't kill it, I think ;)
So I dedicate my new playlist to all the NKOTB fans out there.

Blogging Catch Up!

So there are four or five new posts. I have been slacking on updating the blog lately. So here is what we have been up to the last three weeks. :)

Mothers Day!!

I had a fantastic Mother's Day. The kids made me some really cool mothers day cards. Brandon and the kids made delicious waffles with strawberries and whipped cream for breakfast, yummy!

Then we headed off to church were Brandon and I had a big Mothers day project for the sunbeams to make, painted frames for their mom's. First we got to hear two really great talks by Marykaye G. and Eric K. I really enjoyed the message they shared. Well the parts I heard over the kids :) Some things never change. The kids loved the painting. Here were my presents from the kids. Jacksons is the painted frame and Abagayle got a framed handprint from nursery (thanks tiffany).

After dinner Brandon and the kids my one of my favorites pinapple upside down cake. It was so yummy!! You may notice the lack of cherries in two pinapple rings. That is because I do not care for cherries. However when we went to eat the cake the kids deceided that was their two pieces :) I love them.

** edit, the pink in the bottom of the picture is my pregnant belly, I did not notice it until I was rereading the blog. I guess I really am getting bigger :)

I got a new pair of flip flops for mothers day. I had a pair of flip flops that were brown leather and lasted me 5 years before the gave out. So I have been on the look out for some more. Brandon remembered I said I wanted this addais kind, they are baby blue and brown. They are so cute and soft on the foot part, like a cloud to walk on.

It was a day I will never forget!

Zoo Day

We went to the zoo the other with Marykaye and girls, it was really nice. The day started as cloudy so the zoo was not busy at all and most of the animals were out and about. We stopped and played at the sand box there, which we haven't ever done. I think the kids had more fun in the sand then anything else. We bought zoo keys on this trip. If you don't know about the zoo keys they are these plastic keys that you can stick into boxes around the zoo and the box tells you about the animal. The funny thing is the kids raced to box to put their key in but didn't listen to it at all. :)

I haven't ever seen the tigers out in front before it was pretty cool!

Swing like Monkeys

About a month ago Brandon built a swing in the backyard for the kids. They love it!! He made it wide enough so if they are in a sharing mood they can both fit on it. They do a pretty good job of sharing the swing. It has been hours of good times out there!

Tomato Plants!!

We love to have tomato plants each year. The kids don't like to eat them but the planting, wating and picking is the best. Our best tomato starts have come from Joe's garden in Bellingham. We were a little afraid we would not get them this year from there, so I bought a couple starts at the Portland Saturday Market. However my mom was going up to Bellingham to visit a friend and offered to pick some up for us. So we have 3 Beef steak, 3 yellow pear (my favorite) and 1 new kind a sun sugar. the kids and Brandon had a great time planting them for family home evening a couple weeks ago. Can't wait for tomatoes in Aug/Sept.!!

Jackson Hair Cut

It was a tramatic day for Jackson however he survived, barely. Brandon did the cutting while I did the holding down. Abagayle helped of course, by taunting him about his hair cut.

The Before

The reward: chocolate popsicle and pop!
We are still a little sad :(
