Wicked

Today while Jackson is watching High School Musical 2, with me of course :) He is watching the basketball dance scene at the beginning and he says "That is wicked bad mom, I want to do that dance someday." I started to laugh and asked where he heard wicked bad from, he told me "from dad, he is always doing the crazy talk". I could not stop laughing. Kids are so funny sometime.

Three year old logic

We had cupcakes tonight after dinner. And of course Abagayle managed to get frosting everywhere on her. Brandon told her to go and wash her hand, face and her ARMS. She looked at him, totally serious, I can just lick it off dad. Then proceeded to lick it off her arms.

Jackson's Comforter

I have had this fabric for just about a year now, and I finally got around to making his comforter. The comforter is 60x90, plenty big for a twin size bed. He was so excited because it was an adventure blanket. The one side is all fleece with a safari theme, the other side is six big blocks 3 forest green and the 3 are camping/fishing themed in a flannel material. He will be so warm. Abagayle's to come soon, hers is a bit more complicated. His only took about 3 hours from start to finish, hers will be quite a bit more :)
Thanks for the help mom/coach, love ya!

Thank you to the hot model I found to hold up the comforter.

My favorite Time of Day

Brandon snapped these great shots the other night. I love this quiet time.
He snuck into our bed, little stinker :)

Lorelei is getting big, like we didn't know :)

We had the 2 month check up yesterday. She weighed 14 pounds and 11 ounces and was 24 and half inches tall. I cannot believe it she has doubled her birth weight (7 lbs 11oz) and has grown 4 and half inches. She is such a big girl!

Fun for Mom

So I have had this collage frame for about 5 years, which is a really long time for me to have it and not use it. I throw/give away a lot when we clean out rooms and move. I have always wanted to use but never actually done it. Well today I decided to use it. I printed all the pictures that Heather Ward has ever taken of our family, it was a lot when you add in the black and white shots of each picture, in a 4x6 size. Then I started to sort what I wanted to use and then picked based on what would fit. Thanks babe for giving me a little push to finish it tonight ;)
I am not a huge fan of the yellow but that is what was there. I am going to hang it above the couch and I want to get one more to hang next to it.

bath time fun

Here are a couple cute shots dad got of Lorelei after her bath. I was still upstairs soaping up jackson and abagayle. It is little giraffe on the towel, that is the yellow thing.

Christmas Presents

This year I bought a small pack of 13 wood ornaments for the kids to paint to give to their aunts, uncles and grandparents. They had so much fun painting, deciding who got what ornament and of course wrapping them. The wrapping to an hour each. We did Christmas early with Brandon's family this year, before his sister leaves for her mission. They were so proud as they handed out their gifts to the family. Here are some shots of them painting. I forgot to get a picture of the finished products or them handing them out.

Abagayle did decide that during the wrapping process she wanted to keep them all for our tree. I promised I would buy more for us to decorate and keep for our tree. More painting to come :)

Things sinking in...Temples

The other day I dropped Jackson & Abagayle off at school. When I was leaving one of the high school kids was waiting for me. She wanted to tell me that she could tell Jackson was a good Christian. She then told me that the other day there was a boy (high school boy) in the class with a tatoo. Jackson then told her that we don't get tatoo's because our bodies are temples and Jesus doesn't like that. He said that coffee was not good for our temple's either. She said she was really impressed and appricated his comments, she said she was Christian too.

I started to cry when I got in the car. We, Brandon and I, try so hard to teach them things. I know he is getting taught principles at church too. Sometimes when you/we ask him a question about church things he gives you/us this look like he has no idea what you are even talking about and you are speaking another language.

I was happy to know that some things are getting through.

Homework, What!?!?

So Jackson came home from school on Monday and said he had homework. I thought yeah right because they did not have homework last year at preschool nor did they mention that they would be giving out homework this year. I thought maybe Jackson misunderstood he was very sure about this. So tues morning we did homework, it looked like he had to finish tracing the rest of the alphabet. So he sat down to do his homework, he was so proud. He wanted me to video him. I thought sure, after all it is his first time with homework.

Then of course Abagayle wanted me to video her dancing.

She is singing her "whooo whoo" song. That I play over and over and over in the van for her. It is the Sugarland song "All I want to do"

My other two big kids

They are just looking bigger and bigger everyday today. I forgot to take a picture of them on the first day of preschool and the second day and so on :0 So here is picture of them during their third week, oops.
I was having the hardest time getting them to look at the camera.

Lorelei at 6 weeks

Here is our BIG girl. She is getting so cute and chubby.

Trick or Treat... All Day!

We had a long Halloween day. The got dressed up and went to preschool for trick or treating. They were barbie mariposa and a SWAT policeman.

Later Brandon got dressed up with the kids to head over to the school Halloween party. In case you couldn't tell they were Darth Vader (with his voice changer mask), Jedi and princess Leah. Lorelei was a Dalmatian. There is no picture of her because when we went to take the picture once we were home, we had the a diaper disaster that required a bath. They were waiting on the stage for the costume contest. Jackson was ready to trick or treating. After the party we went trick or treating with the goodmans and grandma banana. I totally did not take any pictures at night, I am a horrible mom I know ;) The kids were asking to go home after about 30 min of trick or treating. Once they were home though they HAD to go trick or tricking at Devin house. Jackson said he needed to show Devin his costume and Devin has delicious candy corn :)
They had been asking to go there all day, I told them they had to wait for dark.

They ended the day by watching Hefalump Halloween with grandma, who was in town just for the night funtimes.
