Birthday Weekend
We had a fantastic weekend. It was Brandon's birthday on Sunday. Two of his brothers and sister came down on Friday night. Saturday we all went out to the Olive Garden for dinner (I actually felt okay) then I surprised Brandon and we spent the night away. Jessica and the boys watched the kids for the night and morning. It was nice to just have us and have some good sleep. Then Sunday after we got home we went to church. I made enchaladas ( I don't know how to spell) for dinner, his favorite. We made strawberry drinks and had some fun. Then the fam had to head home (sad). I think he had a great birthday.

Number 3
I am sure some are wondering why I have been a bit of a hobbit lately. I know you were. Well that is because for the past two weeks I have throwing up whatever I eat. We are pregnant with number 3. I am due 9/25/08, since I have csections it will be a bit earlier then that probably the first day of break on the 22nd.
When we came to school we said we would not have another kid until we are done, partly because I get so sick for 7 - 9 months :). However after listening to Sis Beck talk in the last general conference, we heard the message loud and clear. We got that we should not always wait until we think it will be easier to have another child. We have children waiting for us. I have reread the talk since and it still hits me like a ton of bricks.
This was truely meant to be at this time. We started "trying", more like not preventing, in April. Heavenly Father knows what is best for us. We will have the baby right at the start of a break and the next two quarter will be during the split. I have never felt a message stronger in my life, neither has Brandon.
We won't be finding out what sex the baby is. We did this with the other two kids and Brandon really loves it. It is a little stressful for me, especially since this summer I got rid of all our baby stuff expect a crib, but I have to admit it is truely surprising to hear them tell me what sex the baby is and then get to hold them right away. The kids are so exicted!!
Sorry if I am not the social butterfly lately, but now you know why. Have a great weekend!

Valentines Fun
This morning when the kids got up Brandon had left cards and jelly beans for both of them on the table. They were so happy for the treat and especially the card. I read each of them their card that daddy had left and we all had a little bit of candy for breakfast.
A little while later I hear Jackson and peak my head around the corner, he has his arm around Abagayle, he is "reading" her card to her.
J: "Dear Mom and Dad and Abagayle and Jackson. To all of us. I love you very much, love daddy. See you on the flipside. See Abagayle I read it to you." (so proud).
The cards were both signed love dad, catch on the flipside. It is funny that, the flipside is the one thing he remembered.
We ventured out to the mall today so the kids could play on the toys and get rid of energy. As we walk Abagayle is telling everyone Happy Balentines Day. All I could was laugh. We went to Hallmark to get a couple cards and candy for dad. I took them to the cards with sound section (they are cool). They each picked one out for dad. Jackson was sure that dad would LOVE the Thomas the train card and Abagayle said he would like the disney princess card she picked out. So dad got a couple of cute cards that I am sure he will enjoy. I picked one too for dad. We dropped them off in his car so he would have a surprise between school and work.
I hope everyone has a great Valentines Day!

Potty Training Update
So we did not have a good first run at the potty training. It was horrible to be quite honest. We are going to start again on break. That way dad will be home all day until work time, to help with the beast. lol. We had planned on being in St George for spring break but stupid Costco wouldn't give us the time off, I am not bitter or anything. I do love Costco and they have been great to our family during these fabulous student years. So until break the end of March we are doing the diaper thing. yeah, can you feel my joy?

All About My Man ....
I have been tagged. I would love to hear all my friends answers to this and I can't just pick four. So, if you are reading this, "Tag your it!" Yes, I mean you.
What is his name? Brandon Edward Perkes
How long have you been married? 7 1/2 years
How long did you date? 4 1/2 years, we did break up for a week, yikes, during the first year. It has been pure bliss since ;)
How old is he? He will be 29, on the 17th
Who eats more? Brandon for sure, see next question as to why
Who is taller? Brandon is 6’4. I am a mighty 5'4
Who sings better? Brandon doesn't really sing at all. So I guess me, I do rock the radio sing along in the car. He loves it ;)
Who is smarter? Brandon by far, hello he is going to be a chiropractor
Whose temper is worse? Mine by far.
Who does the laundry? Brandon washes and dries, I fold and put away. Teamwork
Who does the dishes? Usually it is me. Brandon grew up doing dishes for 9 by hand, twice a week, so needless to say he is not a fan of dishes.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Brandon, I do not know why.
Who pays the bills? I do, he is a busy man with school and work
Who mows the lawn? We don't have a lawn, but I have made it clear from the get-go that I will not be doing that EVER.
Who cooks dinner? I do since he does not get home until 1015 or so, even when he is home I cook. I usually enjoy it. Especially Thanksgiving
Who drives when you are together? Usually Brandon, unless he has know idea where to go, and I happen to. He hates how I drive, apparentlly it is crazy :)
Who is more stubborn? That is definately a toss up, I think he is and he thinks I am. So who knows, all I know is the kids got it from both of us
Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Me for sure, in Brandon's words he is never wrong.
Whose parents do you see the most? About that same
Who proposed? Brandon, at Christmas
Who has more friends? I do not know.
Who has more siblings? Brandon for sure, 5 brothers and 1 sister all living together, yikes
Who wears the pants? Depends on the issue, I think if asked our friends they would be split down the middle. Which is good.

Potty Training Today
We are starting to potty train Abagayle today. Wish me luck. We have Dora and Little Mermaid underware that she very excited about. I bought them about 6 months ago when I potty trained Jackson, hoping to do both at once, well the underware are a little bit snug on her. :) We will have to do a Target run in a couple of days. We are stocked up for the day with cocoa, juice, kool aid (which we never have), and candy. Hopefully the candy thing will work, it didn't with Jackson, but Abagayle like every woman loves her chocolate. I will post tonight, hopefully and let you all know how it is going.

Our Weekend
Sorry I haven't been keeping up with my blogging, work has been crazy busy. We had a really fun weekend. We had planned on heading up to Kent for the regional womens conf. on sat then having Brandon family birthday dinner on sat night. The womens conf was canceled due to the funeral of Gordon B Hinkley. We deceided to still head home and be with our family.
On Sat. morning we went to stake center to watch the services for Gordan B Hinkley. They were beautiful, sad and happy all at the same time.
Later that afternoon the girls (myselft, my mom - Victoria, Brandon mom - Karen, his sister - Jessica, and Tim's (brandon's brother) wife - Corrina) all went to have lunch at Pannera Bread in Tukwila. The food was fabulous, even after my complaining. I picked the place, however I am not an adventerous eater. So things were different, I did find something I really like, a chicken panini.
After that we all went to see 27 dresses. It was so fun. It was nice to go and see a chick flick. I thought it was really cute, probably one I will buy to watch over and over while I clean or fold clothes.
Then it was off to meet up with all the boys and Abagayle, and Derrick, Angel and Cora at Brandon parents house for his birthday dinner; taco salad, spanish rice, and chips and salsa. We a great dinner with everyone. Brandon's mom made his favorite desseret, german chocolate cake with her homemade frosting.
It was really great to visit with everyone. We headed home on Sun. and got home around 3 or so. Thanks to Emali and Lance for teaching our class.
I don't have any pictures as I left the camera at my mom's the whole day, dang it.
Brandon birthday is on the 17th of the month, we celebrated early.
